Hi,
Can anyone help i am searching for any information on two family's the family of Richard John Attwood, born 11/04/1906, father Ernest William Attwood , mother Rosina Gray. Richard married Lilian Beatrice Wilson,Alfred Wilson , on the 6/11/1928 in Merthyr Tydfil both Ernest and Alfred were miners. I am having trouble finding either family in the 1911,1901 and 1891 census, also i don't know where lily was born some of the family say they moved to Wales sometime after her birth in 1907. Richard and Lily moved to Redditch sometime after 1928 has anyone got ineither family, Lily apparently was a only child.

Hi, There is a Lilian Beatrice Wilson born Devc Qtr 1909 in West Bromwich, on Free BMD. Don`t know if this is the lady you are looking for

I think it might be a good idea to get Ernest and Rosina's marriage certificate -
Marriages December quarter 1891
ATTWOOD Ernest William Pontypridd 11a 803
GRAY Rosina Pontypridd 11a 803
Their father's names and occupations would be helpful in tracking them down.
However, since the marriage, and also Richard John's birth were registered in Pontypridd, I had a look for other Attwood births in the same district. There is a Muriel Ethel M Attwood registered in 1892.
In 1901 in Llantrisant, Glamorgan:
Asher Gray head M 74 born Stroud, Gloucs
Eliza Gray wife M 54 born Ashburton, Gloucs
William Gray son S 21 born Blakey Hill, Gloucs
Efal* Attwood grand daughter 8 born Porth, Glamorgan
*possibly misspelling of Ethel

The Attwoods are certainly not leaping out of the 1901 census, but there is a possible family in 1911 in the Pontypridd registration district with Ernest & Richard enumerated under their middle names and surname Atwood. Length of marriage fits with the 1891 registration.

The Attwoods are certainly not leaping out of the 1901 census.
Agree with Osprey nothing jumps out on 1901c - Is it possible that Ernest William ATTWOOD was serving in the army (Boer War) in 1901 and maybe his wife had died and that's why they can't be found
