Birth cert.
« on: Tuesday 03 November 09 21:18 UTC (UK) »

I have a Birth Cert. for a possible GtGtGndFather of 1855 District Dudley.

It shows the Mother as Sarah Dyke, son named as John Edward Dyke.

Born 1st Oct New Dock, Dudley. There is no Fathers name given on the cert.

I have found the boy again on the 1861 census Dudley as 5yrs old as a boarder to a family Joseph Rann.

Where can I now look for Sarah before the birth of John and I can't find her in the 1861 census. Is it possible to find her age and her parents ?

Regards
Peter

If this is the same one you could try the 1851 census, or a possible marriage for Sarah.

JOHN EDWARD DIKE.
Birth, 12 OCT 1855.
Christening, 03 FEB 1856. Saint Thomas, Birmingham, Warwick.

Mother:     SARAH DIKE.
