Thanks for that Rog - a certificate if may have to be for sure.

I have found Thomas's and Maria's marriage in Crockenhill's registers and he is down as a widower!!! Maria'a father is Henry Lee.  More work!  Also found Lizzie baptism.

Will try and spend some time going through all their registers for that time just to see what turns up.

Took a look at Thomas H. Goodwin on freebmd but..........too many ifs and buts at the moment. The only reasonable marriage is in 1929 when he would have been 41 - so will hold fire on that for the moment.

Thank you for all your help - here's to the next Goodwin I try to pin down!!    Will get back if anything else turns up.  Regards. R.

Well, I found Maria's death in the MCA registers for Crockenhill - she died in the Dartford Union - hospital/workhouse. Funnily enough, just above her entry was one for an Edward John Goodwin who had died a few weeks earlier aged 1.  I searched for his baptism but couldn't find it.  So although he is on Freebmd I can't be absolutely certain that he is Maria's son.

I also found her father's name wa actually Richard Henry but can't find his marriage as yet.  His wife was also called Maria (surname unknown).
