Hi Lu,

I didn't spot the divorce on archway. Can you suggest how I find the paperwork? The divorce itself was printed in the paper.

Hi Leandra

Yes, correct ... the Divorce record is not shown on the Archway site.   [Divorces which were processed through the Wellington area Courts, are not listed.]

You would firstly need to email Archives NZ, Wellington office to obtain the Divorce file reference number from their in-house database ... and then apply for a copy of the record via Archive NZ's usual channels.

 Roll Eyes    Do you mean that there was a "write-up" of the divorce proceedings printed in a newspaper ?

OR  ... that there was just a mention of it, amongst a list of divorces ??

Hi Lu,

I  meant the divorce was listed among others, no write up of the proceedings themselves.  Thankyou for the archive information, I have quite a list now to get from Wellington. Smiley
