Slaughter family / Navy and Army
« on: Wednesday 04 November 09 13:07 UTC (UK) »

I am not quite sure where to start or who to start with, but I have various member of the family who served in the forces and would like some guidance.

Claud Aldous Slaughter 1889 -1968
R.A.M.C

George Monlas Slaughter 1832 - 1892
Surgeon - Army Medical staff

William Budd Slaughter  1849 - ?
Surgeon General Army

Charles Henry Slaughter 1835 - ?
Surgeon Royal Navy

I have copies of entries for the Medical Lists and a copy of Claud Slaughter's military record, but I have drawn a blank otherwise.  So if anyone has any suggestions, I would be grateful.

Army Lists/London Gazette would be the places to go initially.
Also perhaps medal rolls on the off-chance........... George Moulas Slaughter was Assistant Surgeon to the 7th Hussars in India during the Mutiny
