Holme village school headmaster's log
« on: Wednesday 04 November 09 22:41 UTC (UK) »

Does anyone know where the Headmaster's log-books for Holme village school from the 1840's and 50's are kept? Soloman Briggs was the teacher then - I am in contact with his descendants in Canada and it would be interesting for them to see what he wrote at the time. ( He later became curate at Almondbury and we have copies of entries in the parish records which he wrote).

In my opinion the marriage residence is not always the place of birth. Never forget Workhouse and overseers accounts records of birth.
