Looking for 1851 census information for:

Joseph Ward born Acomb in 1816.
Elizabeth Ward born Haxby 1816.
Children Jane, Hannah and George shown in 1841 census.

Joseph was Freeman of City of York and a butcher, who died in 1889.
I have located him in 1841, 1861, 1871, 1881 censuses but no record in 1851?

Also looking for information on his daughter Frances, who married a John Henderson and had a daughter Phoebe Ellen Ward in 1865, who is recorded as living with Joseph Ward (grandfather) in 1871 census and living with John Ward (Uncle) in 1881 census. Unable to locate birth and marriage records.

All help greatly appreciated  Smiley

In 1851 the family is in Fetter Lane, Mary Bishophill Junior, York
ref: HO107/2354 fol.141 p.5

looks as if Frances may be listed as Fanney here

Have you been able to view the image now that you have the reference details?

If Frances had Phoebe before marriage, the birth cert might prove interesting - those details were on freebmd
