Census Lookup Please - GATWARD

I would be grateful for a lookup of  Census records for  Annie Gatward born March 1874  St Albans Herts. [3a 313]. 

Also, William John Gatward born Hitchin, Herts,  March 1848  in Census records after 1881.

hello,

checked the 1911 census - there is a William Gatward b. 1848 Whitwell, herts

1881 Census has them appearing as Gatwood and states William born Whitwell.

1911 shows married to a Elizabeth Ann b. 1856 Chelsea  - married for 20 years - living in west ham.

William is a Foreman of a cemetry.  I know before he was a baker but he is now 62?

Daughter of Marie Amelia b. 1892 Poplar london.


There is a death recorded for Emily Gatward in 1882,  b. 1848 same year as williams wife but it is in windsor?

Checked for marriages there is a marriage for a william Gatward in 1890 in poplar, middlx

could be the right person,  its a possible lead.

Hi Nik,  thankyou very much.

Your Census information ties in with what I know - although the birth record shows recorded at Hitchin.   He was a baker then Overseer at Woodgrange Park Cemetery and Emily was his first wife - she died 1882. 

I was not aware of a second marriage to Elizabeth Ann or the daughter Marie Amelia [Williams mother was Amelia so there could be a connection] - I will follow up that lead.

Really appreciate your help.
