Marriage look up please

1911 census William Johnston & wife Minnie both are age 22 married for 2 years. 1909?
Not sure of Williams wifes surname could be Beattie. Possibly married either in St Annes CoI Belfast or CoI Kirkinriola Co Antrim. Hope this is enough to go on. Thanks

            You have beaten me this time. However there was a marriage of a Michael Walsh to a Bridget McKenna in Moneymore Roman Catholic Church, Magherafelt, Co. Londonderry on 6 Jan 1870.

Civil registration of Catholic marriages began in 1864 so they may not be listed in the civil index. Index is online (free)- search for bride and groom separately then cross-reference for matching details needed to order the certificate.

If you are looking for Co. Derry marriages (as you seem to have moved onto) you can search Irish Genealogy database free and it will show name of bride and groom plus year of marriage which will probably help in starting a search of civil index.

For other marriages, such as Co. Antrim (which you started asking for on this Co, Antrim thread) Emerald Ancestors is very good and they have a month's subscription at £9.99 (other options also available under 'membership' tab). Their database is also free to search and for a marriage will list name of person you're searching for, first name(s) of spouse, year and county.
