Doesn't the burial give Adelaide's age at death - and when she died?

Hi - I suppose you know of another daughter??
Caroline Isabel Laing c. 1829
She appears on 1851 census with her father John (looks like he was b Jamaica???)
Do you need this census???
Caroline married Joseph Nias (neas?) in 1854/5
I'll try to find them on 1841 to see where they were living then - possibly they could be buried in a family plot???

Daughter caroline had 1st child in Bath Somerset - but moved back to london - her husband was many years older than her

I would like to thank those who responded to the forgoing requests which were made by a colleague on my behalf via the My Brighton and Hove site. I hadn't remembered I was registered with Rootschat from some years back. All very interesting and helpful. I shall visit Horton this week when I go to Heathrow and see if any more info is revealed. Regards. TCS.

End of the story? I went to Horton last Friday to look for the grave of the above mentioned Adelaide and Lydia LAING: I was lucky to find the lady there who looks after St Michael's church, Beryl. She was helpful beyond the call of duty and looked out the old burial records for me going back to the 1800s. We were surprised to find that John Laing was also buried there after he died in Brighton in 1869 aged 71 years. Unfortunately there is now no trace of the grave with 'handsome railings and a monument' and although we found the plot number there was no chance of identifying it in the churchyard today as the numbering was very haphazard. (See also under Adelaide Gardiner Laing elsewhere on this site) But we still don't know of the connection to the Horton / Wraysbury area unless anyone can tell us different? Thanks to all. TCS.
