My gg grandmother was Sarah Attewell from Nuneham, and I am interested in any details of Attewells from Nuneham.
Specifically, John Attewell b.1769 married Rebecca, and as far as I know had 4 children, John b. 1800, Jubilee George b. 1810, Elizabeth b. 1812 and Sarah b. 1816. I would like to know if there were any more children, and if possible Rebecca's maiden name.
Thanks for your help.

Hi Wozzle,
Thanks for looking - at the moment I do not know much about John and Rebecca - I have only seen them mentioned on another site. Elizabeth could be either his wife or his sister! However, I'm pretty sure that is the John I am interested in as the details of daughter Sarah match. The George you found is Jubilee George - evidently he didn't like the Jubilee part much. I have his details, apart from wifes married name. Thank you for the offer of census look up but I have them already.

I couldn't find a marriage at N C for John and Rebecca so i had a search of Oxfordshire Marriage Index and found this one
17 Nov 1800 John Atewell to Rebecca Pitson at Ox St Martin
I also have Ox St Martin Prs so i had a look to see if there was any more info but it only gives John and Rebecca otp and witnesses as Sarah Atewell (x) and Jno Green
Back to Nuneham Courtney Prs ...
Marriage
30 July 1805 John Attewell to Elizabeth Sadler Wits .... William West (x) Benja Baker
Feb 4 1832 Jubilee George Attewell, b, to Mary Harvey, sp Wits.... Richard Harris, Catherine Henwood, William Baker

Thanks again Sue, you have managed to clear up a lot of confusion for me. I wonder who the second Frederic who died belonged to?
Opens up a lot more research - wonderful.

We crossed in the post, as they say! Thank you, you have answered all my queries. I remember Pitson as being a very popular name in the Nuneham censuses. Once again thanks for the help - I must dash now!

Hi Sue, I had that Thomas married Sarah, but not the date. IF I can be cheeky and ask, can you find any more children for Thomas and Sarah. Apart from John I think that they had a daughter named Fanny who married John Pound, but that is the extent of my Attewell knowledge.
I really appreciate what you have found out - up to a few days ago all I had was my gg grandmother, and now I am back 3 more generations.

Wonderful Sue, you're a star. Off to enter them into the tree. Wasn't the name Jubilee given cos it was George III's golden Jubilee in 1810? Don't know what they called the girls tho'...
