Peeble Combe Surrey
« on: Thursday 05 November 09 15:16 UTC (UK) »

We have a postcard addressed to my grandmother (who was in service in the 1920s) at Pebblecombe Walton on the Hill Surrey.  I see from local maps that there is a large house called Peeble Combe (note the spelling variance) in Pebblecombe south of Walton on the Hill.   Anyone out there know anything of the 1920s history of the house?

It seems the house was designed by Charles Reeves (1815-1866)  It doesn't say when it was built though.  You could try Exploring Surrey's Past site to see if there's more information (just Google & you'll find it)
