At long last I have found my grandfathers World War 1 service records on line.His surname begins with R so perhaps many of you will have luck finding your end ofthe alphabet records.

I dont have a sub, but do the have the T's on there yet?  I am hoping to find my great grandfather on there?

Yes that have the "T"s although strangely enough I am not have much luck with these new records..

I looked up two records of my great uncles which I had previosly seen at Kew but the screen was not clear so I looked the up on line. At first I thought that all the info I had found at Kew was not there But when I started scrolling backwards I found the missing pages so try going back from the start page as well--
I am still searching for one by the name of Short but does not seem to be there---perhaps it was one of the burnt ones.
Afraid all the afternoon jobs went by the board as I got involved with searches--some quite revealing. Never imagined my lovely Granpa was court martialled in 1819--together with lots of others who just wantded to come home.
