« on: Thursday 05 November 09 18:40 UTC (UK) »

I can make out that he had VD (secondary)

Where was he first posted to, just anything at all would be a great help

Thanks in advance

Theresa

Hello Theresa,

A/107 should equate to A Battery, 107th Brigade, Royal Field Artillery.

I assume that the page you posted is one of at least three, as he joined in October 1914 and went to France 30/8/15.

After the spell in hospital, he was posted to No.1 Section, 21st Divisional Ammunition Column 15/1/16 and then to A Battery, 94th Brigade RFA on 22/1/16, which was within the same Division. It is hard to read, but it looks like he was granted leave to the UK in November 1916.

Sometime later in the war he transferred to the Royal Garrison Artillery and remained with them until his discharge to Class Z Reserve 25/6/19. (From his Medal Index Card)

Hi Phil

Thanks for all the info, i have quite a few pages to read through, some are considerably harder to read than others, but people might get bored if i posted all the photo's of the army records.

Thanks again

Don't worry about that!

Just post them here, - & if people can help, they will.

Best Wishes, Romilly.
