Hi, I am not sure if I am in the right area of Yorkshire for this? Ihave Peter Thompson bn 1874 Scarborough, N.Yorks. He mrd  Sarah Ann Winn bn 1875 South Bank, YorksSo, at present, I can't find any info on Sarah and her family? Any help please? Bullamore

There are 2 Sarah As but one is Wynn and born 1874 and theres this one

Robert Winn 34 labourer in ironworks b York Yorks
Sarah 30 wife b Eston Yorks
John R 8 son b ditto
Sarah A 6 dau b ditto

on 91 census theres a Sarah Annie 16 servant b Middlesborough in ths household of John Wray 31 butcher address 11 Great Shambles,Holy Trinity Kings Court York

The marriage certificate should give you her father's name and occupation, which would help confirm the census information found by Isobel

The marriage registration is
Dec 1898  Scarbro'    9d   804
Thompson    Peter                WINN    Sarah Annie   
   

Once you're sure of her father's name, you could get her birth certifcate from  www.middlesbrough-indexes.co.uk   The register office would be able to confirm father's name before you bought the cert

2 births registered: Sarah A WINN  in Middlesbrough district 1874 
and another Sarah A WINN in Guisborough district in 1875 

There's also the marriage of Robert WYNN to Sarah PALLISER, Middlesbrough district 1869
