McManus John & James of Drummaul Parish
« on: Friday 06 November 09 07:48 UTC (UK) »

I have hit a brick wall in my research and am now hoping someone can help.
I am looking for any information about James McManus born ca. 1803  townland of Feehogue, Co. Antrim. Parish of Drummaul, who was a gardener at Shane's Castle.  (I have his entry in Griffiths). I believe he was C. of. E, would love his wife's name. Also, any information on his children, other than his son, John, born in 1830, who enlisted in the Madras Army and sailed for India in 1850. Thank you very much.  Cheers. xeros.

Not your chaps, sorry, but an 1850's McManus of Drummaul Parish marriage is noted at :

http://irishgenealogy.net/Mcfmarr.htm

may be of help somewhere in your search.

http://www.ancestryireland.com  have a number of McManus births in Antrim with father James, in right timescale, but are pay to view and could be from any parish.
