I'm so pleased they were able to help, pity there are no headstones for you to see, but at least when you visit you will be able to see the cemetery and where they are at rest.

Going back to Levina, interesting that although all the census say she was born Scotland, Mr. Arthur's marriage information shows her parents to be from Ireland.

If you wished to buy the certificate, the GRO reference is
Jun 1877   Gateshead    10a   1039
McARLANE    Levina        McGHNAY    John   
the image is a typed record, which may account for the spelling of the surname here, but the certificate may be helpful - ages, addresses, occupations of fathers, etc
     
Her maiden name may also be under several variants, have you looked for her birth on scotlandspeople and tried to find her in the earlier census?
The 1881 census (McGachey !!) gives her age as 23, so born any time from 1857-1862 going by the other census details

Have just looked for the marriage on the Gateshead register office website, and John's surname is listed there as McGLINAY  Roll Eyes

You can order through the website, might be quicker than the GRO
