Labour Corps, Agricultural Company
« on: Friday 06 November 09 13:19 UTC (UK) »

I've just found my G Grandfathers service record on Anc**try, he was classified B1 and ended up in the Labour Corps, 543 Agric Coy.

Does anyone have any idea where I could look to find out where he actually served?  He was 494875 Pte Charles Plimmer.

I've found the odd line or two on several websites saying the agric coy's were formed in 1917 and worked on farms etc but surely there has to be more in depth info somewhere??

Thank you Stephen, it looks like he was part of a forgotten arm of the forces!  That book has gone to the top of my Christmas list  Grin
