I'm wondering if the numerator couldn't read the original document and maybe "Ireland" should read "Island" , e.g.

Hilbre Island, Cheshire

this can be found on Genuki web page

Time for me to muscle in  Shocked Grin

If you compare the first letter of Auckland with the first letter of the place name in question, I think the place name definitely begins with an 'A'........ I think the second letter might be an 'L' as it looks to be so similar to the 'L' in 'land' but after that I am open to suggestions.

I'm of the opinion that the first letter isn't an "H". If you look at the H of Halifax just above is bears little or no resemblance. Looks more likely to be an "A" followed by "l" as previously suggested.
