Hi. If anyone is able, I would love a couple of parish register look ups as follows:
Charles BRAZIER born abt 1834 Maulden. Recorded on censuses variously as BRAZIER, BRACHER and BRAISHER
According to IGI he married Mary Ann Shepherd 1857, Maulden - would love to get this confirmed too, if possible.
Death 1848, but I think this was probably in Clophill, not Maulden. Many thanks for any help,

Welcome to Rootschat
The 1857 marriage in the IGI is extracted from the parish register so is reliable. You can confirm it by checking the civil registration at www.freebmd.org.uk, where it appears in Ampthill registration district. Using the reference you find there you can order the marriage cert online at http://www.gro.gov.uk/gro/content/certificates/
The IGI has a baptism of a Charles Brazier in Maulden on 19 Feb 1832, son of William and Mary. In 1841 this Charles was aged 10. living in Maulden with William and Mary. There were no other Charles' in Maulden so it seems as though this is your Charles. In 1851 he was 18 still living with his parents, so his age moves around a bit.
Death 1848 looks to be a typo

Oops, yes, meant death 1882. Sorry! Thank you so much for your help.
I was originally going to post asking for a look up on William, Charles's likely father, but had a crisis of confidence midway through the post. So much extrapolation, and the variable birth date and many possible variants of spelling of surname...but still, it is nice to know that you agree that is probably the one!
But if anyone is able to help with more info on William that would be great. I'd love to know how far back my family were market gardeners (so far we have William, his son Charles, his son Charles, his son Arthur=my grandfather, all gardeners).

Maulden baptism on 19 Feb 1832 of Charles Brazier, son of William & Mary of Maulden, labourer.
Burial at Clophill on 30 Mar 1882 of Charles BRAISHER of Clophill, age 50
Are his parents William Brazier who married Mary Keech or Reech at Maulden on 4 Feb 1815 ?

john P - THANK YOU! That's fantastic - and more than I dared hope for! It's great to have Charles's marriage confirmed as I suspected. Doubts arose because not only of variable surname spellings, and birthdates, but also because someone else with a tree on Ancestry has my Charles marrying a Mary Barker instead .
Yes, the census records seem to match with William and Mary (nee Keech or Keetch or Reech) being Charles's parents. Does it say anything more about them in their marriage record? Just curious - having read through the census for Clophill and Maulden, there are a few Keetches around the same area - but without censuses before 1841 it's a bit hard to know how they relate exactly.
