I've trying to find some details for Eliza Wakelin or Wakeling:
when she died her maiden name
She is shown in the 1841 and 1851 Leicester censuses living with her husband William and their children; Eliza's dob around 1816, place of birth St Margaret, Leicester.
William and Eliza presumably married in the mid 1830'sish - their eldest child is shown as Maria, bapt 1836 in St Margaret's, according to IGI. William's place of birth in 1851 is given as Thurcaston, 1817; I think he died in 1860. There is a marraige on IGI of William Wakelin at St Mgts in 1835 to a Louisa Langton which interests me (Eliza was witness at a Langton marraige) but obviously the name's wrong! Or could Louisa be known as Eliza?
Eliza is in the 1871 census living with the Kilner family as a lodger then disappears. When and under what name did she die?
Any further info would be gratefully received! Thanks!

Many thanks for that, Mike, some interesting food for thought there.
Eliza Wakelin was, as I said, a witness at a Langton wedding in 1845 (Elizabeth Langton m John Jeayes). Elizabeth and John's daughter, Sarah, married into my Kilner family.
In 1861, Thomas Kilner (Sarah's father in law) is shown with a "wife" Eliza. I think this is Eliza W though I don't think they married. Eliza is then living with Sarah nee Jayes and the younger Thomas Kilner in 1871.
The two Thomas's share their grave with, amongst others, Maria Stones d 1874 age 39; I think this is Eliza's daughter Maria who married william Stones some time around 1858 - 1860ish. Can you link that with Joseph Stones? Was Joseph Maria's son?
I hadn't found Eliza's possible marraige to Isaac Glover. I had however found the Eliza Glover you mention buried with the Thornton family and discounted her as she was living with Harriet Thornton as a sister as times that don't match with E Wakelin. However I had twigged that there may have been a name change to Glover because another Kilner baby, Elizabeth d 1892, shares a grave with Eliza Glover d 1887 age 74!
So do I understand you correctly, and would your resources back up this supposition: Eliza Langton (father's first name in doubt, that will be another thread I think!), m William Wakelin Their daughter Maria m William Stones - children included John Henry d 1870 (buried with Maria and the Kilners) and maybe Joseph d 1859? William Wakelin died, buried with ?Maria's son Maria died, buried with the Kilners Eliza poss living as Eliza Kilner in 1861 and def as Eliza Wakelin but with the Kilners in 1871 Eliza marries Isaac Glover 1871 (the Kilner family did live in Wheat St btw - what was the date of the 1871 census?) Eliza Glover died in 1887, buried with another Kilner baby
The Langtons are going to be another puzzle but my money is on Joseph L being Eliza's father - I'll come back to that!
Thanks for the help so far!

(prev post scrapped)
Looks like it's coming together now
Joseph Langton and Mary had several children bapt in St Mary de Castro, inc Elizabeth (b and d 1812), Eliza (1815), Ann, John, Elizabeth and William.
Elizabeth was my direct ancestor - looks like Eliza was her older sister and became Eliza Wakelin.
Is there a marraige to be found?
