I'm new and Australian with all English ancestors

Hi,

I'm new to this forum, and on the other forums I belong to, there is a place where we introduce ourselves but I wasn't sure where to introduce myself on this one.

I have been tracing my family tree for 2 years. All of it is in England. I was born on the Wirrel and my parents emigrated.

So I have Gadsby's, Neals and Farmer's from Leicestershire and Pearsons from Nantwich and Fitchett's who were canal people.

I have a 4 x gr grandmother who was an unmarried mother who managed to keep all of her children (except that she and 3 of them ended up in the workhouse at one stage).

So anyway, I just wanted to say hello, and hope I can help people the way I've been helped with my tree over the years.

Welcome to Rootschat,  a great helpful place to be.

Ancestors in Leicestershire - lucky you,  There is a great guy on the Leicestershire queeries section of the board called Mike who has loads of transcripts and indexes and sometimes even visits the Records Office for people.  Look forward to seeing you around.

Welcome to Rootschat

There are so many helpful people on here that you are bound to discover a lot about your family.

Also if you have any photographs that need to be cleaned etc a visit to the Restoration board will be able to help. The restorers are amazing and the photographs come up like new. Even creased, torn and marked ones are attempted so it is worth placing them on that board.

A warm welcome to Rootschat.    A fantastic site to be on.   You might even find rellies through the site, well I did or I should say someone found me Cheesy a couple of days ago Cheesy

A visit to the Restoration board is well worth a visit .... to see the before and after photos .... is absolutely amazing .. we have a lot of talented people on board.
