Huish Champflower NATION Family
« on: Saturday 07 November 09 11:25 UTC (UK) »

Hi everyone from Australia.  I believe my ggggrandfather John Nation was born in  Exeter St Nicholas Devon in 1744.  His father was Thomas and I know nothing else of him or who he married but would like to and see  if there were earlier generations in Huish Champflower.  My gggrandfather George Nation's convict records name his Parents John and Hannah (John's second wife) place as Huish Champflower although all the children of the second family were born in Morebath. William Nation born 1801 was buried at St Peters HC in 1880 (but no one else that I could find)so they may have been there a long time and descendants may still be there.Could I please have  a lokup for them and would love any information at all about them. Any assistance will be greatly appreciated...thank you..

Hi,

Are you looking for information from Exter Devon of Huish Champflower Somerset?

Huish Champflower records are online

http://www.pbenyon1.plus.com/H_m_w/Huish_Champ/Index.html#top

Looking at these online records does not reveal much re the name NATION.

Hello Kris (same name and spelling as my son!) thank you for the info.  I had looked that up and was surprised only to see William there.  He never married and was a manservant.  But the rest?  His mother died at Bampton but all those towns are quite close.  I thought there might be a trace of brothers and sisters.  will keep looking..cheers...
