Hi Chinacharlie

Unfortunately the second attempt was also only 72dpi but rather than put you through another posting, I've had a go at this one.  Hope it's okay.

Thankyou very much caz for two beautiful restores, i'm not sure i know what's going on with the scanning process though, when it ask's me to choose 150, 300, 600 or higher i click onto 300dpi, i'm not sure there is anything else i can do, what do you suggest?

Many Thanks

A sepia from  me too... Smiley I think you'll find the 72 dpi is wrong ...it's what adobe make up to fill a gap if an image file has no dpi information ,Kodak scanners and lots of digital cameras actually dont have the info on the image file and so Adobe just make it up at 72  dpi ..I found your pic perfectly ok to restore as the in reality the dimensions and resolution was fine ... in my opinion

That's odd Poll, I've never had that happen to me before.  I was going to suggest that if you are sure your scanner resolution is set to 300dpi then it may have happened when you resized depending upon the package you used, just another thought.

Cheers
