i am trying to find death of James gillgrass.have been told that he died in1896.but do not know if this is correct. also where he is buried.possibly if i could get photo of his grave.he was my grt grt grandfatherwho left wales UK in 1871.any info would be great. thanks h j gillgrass

There is a James Gillgrass in the 1880 Census in Scranton, Pennsylvania who was born in Wales abt. 1853.  He was a coal laborer.  His parents were born in England.  He is with wife Elizabeth, age 32, born England, parents born England.  Also in the household is boarder John Gillgrass, age 24, single, born Wales, parents born England. 

Any chance that is him?

James Gillgrass, born 19 July 1829, Wokingham
Died 7 July 1896, Mystic, Appanoose County, Iowa
Parents were John Smithers "Gilgrass" and Lucy White.
