Baptism look-up - Hamble

Charlotte was married to John LANE  (born c1819 Co.Cork) and consistently gave her birth details on census returns as c1816 Hamble.   

If anyone has access to Hamble PRs, I would be glad to know if any 'Charlottes' appear in the baptism register for that time.

Did John & Charlotte marry in Hampshire?  Do you know roughly when?

There are three possible candidates, but of course she may have lied about her age.

Charlotte Downing, Charlotte Bull and Charlotte Serle, all baptised 1816 or 1817/

Hi Nell,

Many thanks for the look-up.  I have traced a marriage for John LANE and Charlotte BULL in the June quarter 1843, Southampton District.  This would appear to fit in with the info you have given.   Can you please let me have full details of the baptism record.   Any details of the marriage would be a bonus.

Charlotte Bull baptised 5 May 1816 in Hamble, parents George & Elizabeth.

Can't help with a marriage since there are an awful lot of churches in the Southampton RD and I don't have information for all of them.  Without knowing which church register to search, it is a bit like looking for a needle in a haystack  Sad
