Hi carol,

Cerebral Haemorrhage

and the other  - looked up and it seems to be hyperpiesia which is apparently persistent high blood pressure without a specific cause.

best wishes

Thanks Heywood.

That's what I thought cerebral, but could almost see the word Mitral there too.
I read Hyperpiesia but having never heard of it thought I was misreading it.
Teach me to doubt myself eh?

Regards

Sorry- not with you Hibee  Huh

Yes I expect it did Lydart.

High Blood Pressure can cause all sorts of problems.
Maybe they didn't discover she had it till she had the stroke- this was 1951  Grin

From a Laurel and Hardy movie.........

Lola Marcel: Tell me, what did he die of?

Stan Laurel: I think he died of a Tuesday, or was it a Wednesday?

I would think they did know she had high blood pressure, but the treatment wasn't as good in 1951.  My gran had high blood pressure and died of a cerebral haemorrhage in 1949 and she used to take little white tablets she called M & Bs, which I guess were the name of the maker.  I know the tabs had the initials M & B on them.

Thanks for decoding that "hyperpiesia".  I have the exact same (and equally undecipherable) on a rel's cert and couldn't make it out.  Til now.  Smiley
