Sorry, what is Mayo EYB, please?  Is that County Mayo?

He apparently came over on his own (without his parents)?  Do you have any idea what his occupation would have been?

Could this be your Anthony?
Devonia, sailed from Glasgow, Scotland and Moville, Ireland, arrived New York, 17 March 1880.
Anthony Mullen, age 18, (occupation) Lab.

It looks like Mary Ann Mullen under his name.  She was age 16, (occupation) Nil.

They were Irish.

Hello Lisa,
Sorry yes Anthony was born in Co,Mayo in Kilnegarvan, now known as Kilgarvan in Bonniconlon.
This Lisa could well be him for this is the first time I have had any sight of him on any liner.so Mary Ann could  be his sister. She will be well worth me looking into.
As Anthony came from a farming family.the occupation Lab: would also be right.I know he did end up in Philadelphia.
Thankyou very much Lisa.Good of you to take the trouble on my behalf.Appreciated. Smiley
