William Crompton, Manchester 1881

I'm trying to find something about a William Crompton, born September 19th, 1881, in Manchester. He later, maybe 1903, emigrated to Canada and married a Anna Chatt. I'm trying to find who his parents were and when he really emigrated.

Theres a Wm Crompton  no age given left Liverpool 25 Feb 1904 he was a labourer.Ship Pretorian for Halifax destination port St John Nb Canada.He was single adult

Hi i could not see any William Crompton's born Manchester Sept 1/4 1881, nearest i could find was Sept 1/4 1882 Manchester vol 8d Page 190 are you sure about the birth date?

The date you have would only be given by the informant and could be wrong? You can't rely on it been 100% correct.

According to your other thread he died May 27th 1947 Merritt, British Columbia but i could only see a death for a Name: William Crompton

my great grandad was william crompton and he married mary and they had a daughter called dorothy are we on about the same person?

stace123: Not to my knowledge, the Crompton i'm looking for emigrated to Canada where he died in 1947. He married Anna Chatt that died in Canada 1957.
