The Inverclyde site is quite brilliant isn't as they have have pulled together information from a number of sources. I am not aware of a similar site for the Inverness-shire area unfortunately.

I suggest you contact the 'Highland Archive & Registration Centre', Bught Road, Inverness, IV3 5 SS.  This is a brilliant new centre, opened 26 October, 2009 and 'replaces the archive service at Inverness Library, Farraline Park, and the registration service at Moray House, Bank Street, Inverness'.  www.highland.gov.uk/genealogy

Sorry - also meant to include : try the 'Highland History & Culture site - AM BAILE' - which covers the historical stories, photos, etc. of the Highlands of Scotland. This is also a fantastic site, very interesting, with photos. of old Inverness, and its people, and other Highland facts & news.  Ruth
