Two of my three little brothers are twins, but it's a rare occurrence in my family (I think there's only been a couple of sets of twins in the past few hundred years).

I have twins and triplets in my family but they were all born in the recent generations, my grandmother was an identical twin and my other grandmother had triplets 1 boy and 2 girls, the 1 boy (my uncle) had twins and one of my aunties had a set of twins too. I think one of my cousins has two twin girls but other than that there is only one other set of twins way back in the early 1800's and that record could be questionable.... its rather random that in my whole tree there are no other twins or triplets, they just came from nowhere!  Grin

twins run in my Soul line. As it is the Soul name that seems to have twins it must be the male that is the determining factor in this family. I must do some more research on the females and their progeny.

Heigh-ho, I have a twin brother, my father had a twin sister, my mother had twin aunts on her mother's side and my maternal grandmother had twin aunts on her dad's side. Any nice theories to explain that lot?! I should add that my generation has failed to produce any twins at all (but that's four boys for you!).
