Can anyone help me with a marriage between John TIMMINS, a builder, and Caroline Jane (Maiden name Unknown) probably around 1877?

They had two children that I can identify: Ernest (born about 1878) and William Clarence (about 1889).

I am trying to find Caroline's maiden name; she later married George ALEXANDER in 1913, and died in early March 1950.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Hi

The Victorian Pioneer Index has the following...

John TIMMINS and Caroline WALLINGTON married 1877
Ernest Oscar TIMMINS born 1878 to John and Caroline nee WALLINGTON TIMMINS

On his marriage entry it says John was born Dublin Ireland.

Just as a matter of interest, following the death of John TIMMINS in 1912, Caroline Jane married George ALEXANDER (1851-1930) one of Australia's earliest test cricketers, who went on the 1880 test tour of England and again in 1884.

Until I received your help, I had thought her name was Caroline Jane TIMMINS, so this WALLINGTON information is all very welcome.

Hi

Charlotte Shrimpton was baptised 15th July 1832 at St Giles Camberwell Surrey though born supposedly 2nd September 1827. She died in Collingwood Victoria in 1896. Her husband John Samuel Wallington was born 15th July 1825 baptised St Mary Newington Surrey 1st January 1826. He died in Collingwood in 1900. They married 1st February 1846 at St Mark's Kennington Surrey. John was a labourer. They had 12/13 children some before they emigrated to Tasmania in 1853. They married again in Hobart in 1854. Caroline Jane was born 18th June 1854, the first child born in Australia.
