I just wish the census takers in the mid-1800s had really been that frank - it might settle my doubts about where my 3xgreat grandmother's chilkdren came from. 

As it is, I don't know whether she was just forgetful when asked who the father was.  She certainly wasn't consistent.

I loved that video - I forget how absolutely "dry" the British humour can be.

The little pause before she said "whore" and the "cushioning" as she pronounced it brought tears to my eyes ....

This is the funniest thing I have seen for a long time...so dry Grin 

Reminds me of a comment I saw on a census of one of my rellie's...reputes her husband is away working Huh  In Cornwall during those years half the men were abroad working,...I must try and check the husband out now I have a full sub
