I am looking for any information on the Summers/Symmers family. Agnes Summers born 1791 was married to William Reid
1810 New Deer.
Can't find any thing on the Summers family.
Does this name ring any bells at all?

Hi Lyn,
I have the Death certificate of Agnes Reid, maiden Name Symmers.
Widow of William Reid, Labourer.
She died 29th August 1868,aged 86yrs,in the Village of New Deer. [The strange thing is, that it was registered the 5th January 1869] [I haven't seen such a gap, before, between death and registering,].
Father was George Symmers, farmer, deceased.
Mother was Jane Symmers, maiden name, Hay. deceased.
Informant was Isabella Murrison, granddaughter.

Isabel Symmers 8/5/1772, Cruden.
George Symmers 8/8/1774 Old Deer.
Jean Simmers 11/12/1777 Old Deer.
Mary Simmers 11/1/1782 Tarves.
AGNES SIMMERS 17/4/1784 Tarves.
George Simmers 5/5/1786 Tarves.

I think you must have the 1841 census. but just in case.
Remember, that they greatly rounded off their ages in the 41 census.
