I am looking for family of Thomas H Collins and his wife Elizabeth. Thomas emigrated in 1898 and his wife in 1899.
In 1900 they lived in Calumet ,HoughtonCounty,Michigan with a daughter Ruth. In 1910 they lived in Rockland Twp,Ontonagon County,Michigan with their children Ruth,Harold(Arnold?) and Pearl.
I believe a niece Ethel Beare went to live with them in 1902.
I would like to know if they came from Cornwall because if so it would be a great help to my family tree.

In the England and Wales, Civil Registration Index: 1837-1983

 there is a Thomas Henry Collins listed as getting married in the June quarter of 1898.
among the other names on the page are....
Elizabeth John J Beare...
Charity Hocking ..
William Trembath...

Since your Ethel Beare went to her Aunt Elizabeth, Chances are this is their marriage. It took place in the Penzance district of Cornwall.  GRO index for the above is Volume: 5c Page: 406

Also, the 1920 census states that they immigrated in 1896 both of them. You see different years of immigration in alot of records.

Thank-you very much for the information. I sent for a marriage certificate last week but haven't received it yet. But with the information which you gave me there is a very good chance that I am on the right track as Elizabeth was from Marazion.
