An Ashby Magna puzzle

I've been trying to trace a family in Ashby Magna (c1750-1850) mostly through the IGI, which is the only place giving up any clues so far.

The name is variously given as Parimore, Parremore, Paramore and Perrymore.

Is it a fair bet that they are all one and the same?

Is/was Ashby Magna a small village?

Grateful for any info.

I would guess that the names you have come across could well all be one and the same.

If there is a batch number for the IGI entries, you can just enter this batch number (without any names) and get the whole of the entries for the village up.

It should be a fun place to search if your ancestors were there for some time as they shouldn't take too much digging out and there are probably lots of sidelines too  Cheesy

Thanks for your helpful suggestion.

The IGI batch number also threw up Parimer, Pairemore, Padamore or Parremore, Paddymore, Pademore and Padmore.

I can see I am going to have fun!

Names got changed almost every generation sometimes, especially if they werent common ones like Smith, Jones or Brown.

In my family, there are four generations of Bannisters, whose name was different each time -

Bannester, Banistor, Banistor and Bannister.
