LINK -- Stoke on Trent 'Potteries' Site
« on: Monday 10 May 04 23:45 BST (UK) »

This site has a lot of info regarding Stoke on Trent (Potteries & local history).

Its a quite well designed site and you can take virtual tours around the areas - lots of photo's with descriptive details.

Also has an indexed map and a list of streets.

Informative and interesting if you're researching in the 'Potteries' areas.

I've just been having a look at the link you mentioned Skippy. It's an excellent website.

I found the section People was very interesting. I noticed George Albert Wade (Knighted in 1955) was mentioned in the A-Z of People in the history of Stoke-on-Trent. His daughter Iris and her husband managed a factory, Wade (Ulster) Ltd., in Portadown, Co. Armagh. Offhand I can't say how many others on the list had connections with Ireland, but I can say it pays to look at everything when searching for either ancestors or descendents.

All the Best, Chris

What a fab site, I wish all the counties I had to look at were as good as this one, thank you very much for that.
