My great-great-great-great-great-great-grandfather was William Morewood. His father was probably Joseph Morewood who married Anne Thornton in 1670 in Walden, Essex. She was born in 1636 in Walden and was buried on 21 Jun 1720 - aged 84. Her father was Roger Thornton born in 1603.

I want to know whether Joseph Morewood and Anne Thornton had any children, and, if so, who they were. Do you have this information?

Read your query re Anne Thornton / William Morewood.  I to am trying to prove the link between William and Jospeh as his father.  Have you had any luck to date?

I am particularly interested to know what evidence there is that Jospeh married Anne in Walden - I have found some evidence they married in Nottingham.
