I want to move my tree its on gene reunited and the sites so slow and its worse now its ancestry.com I am frightened of losing all my stuff as its all there I don't know what to for best I ve got such a lot of branches now it was alright there at first but its grown so big

Unless there are several major computer crashes at Genes and their back up server farm which all happen simultaneously then the chances of "losing" all of your information are so small as to be almost undetectable.

However regarding speed that is a different matter ... may I suggest that you consider Rootschat offer of free web space !

Did you type your tree direct in Genes Reunited or do you have you tree on your PC as well?

If you typed  it in directly,  I would suggest using the Import/Export option on the main menu of the site to export the file.

Simply press the export button at the bottom of the page and you should (if you pick a quiet time for the site be able to download the file which can then be uploaded as the previous posters have suggested to RootsChat and you can also use any of a variety of PC packages to maintain your data on your PC.
