Hi,
As if we don't have enough trouble chasing ancestors!
Which parish church would hold the register for Jedi Knights?!!!!

I heard about that. It's an actual religion. Doesn't include moving things with your mind of course. I did have a site on it bookmarked, but I lost interest, so I lost the site.
Also, not all religions require or have a parrish. I'm pagan. I'm probably listed as Baptist on the last (2000) census, as I didn't fill out the info, another family member did. So, I'll have to wait until 2010 to get the info right.

Don't know about that, I was visiting my parents on "the night" but I refused to fill the form in, as it was in a foreign language. See what happens in 2011.

My brother insisted on putting it down on his form....
There was some e-mail /internet rumour going around that if enough people put it down on their form then it would be classified as an official religion in britain. According to the BBC: The number of people who stated they were Jedi was 390,000 (0.7 per cet of the population).
But I think they just gave it more or less it's own category.

GUILTY!
This little old lady put it down. Well I don't believe in any other religion and it was better than leaving it blank.
Apparently there weren't quite enough to make it a new religion. Will try again next time if I'm still here.
My desendants can make what they like of it.

Today I Told my grandson aged 14 about being a Jedi Knight.
He thought it was hilarious.

Just asked my hubby (who I met in 2002) what he put and was gobsmacked when he said Jedi Knight
And there was me - probably cos I've been doing family history for quite a while - taking it sooo seriously that I put 'none'. Thinking of future possible descendants I was a little bit economical with the truth on occupation though but that's for me to know and them to wrestle with LOL
