I have found a Christina Beare born in Cornwall working for a John McLillop MCKenzie in 1881.Dwelling: Howard Road,Violet Dale,Croydon Surrey. The head of the household was 53 and born in Ireland. His wife was called matilda and she was born in Clerkenwell Middlesex.they had 12 children and 3 servants one was Christina who was 22 in 1881. Could someone look-up the 1891 census to see if she was still working for them please.
I have not been abe to locate Christina (Beare) in the 1891 census. Assuming she is married by then I searcherd for any Christina's born Penanze Cornwall with only 3 coming up and none were in the right age group.
Christina being born in Cornwall C Ferris age 34 with children under the age of 5 living Battersea
All other Christinia's born Cornwall had children older than 10 which should have had them appearing in the 1881 census. The people she worked for in 1881 don't appear on my copies of the 1891 census, so maybe they have died or moved somewhere else. Robraw

There's no sign of Christina Beare at all except on 1881 Census. However, I did find:
Beare, Emily Christina - Qtr 1897 December, Births - East Stonehouse, Devon - Ref Vol 5b Page 280.
This birth may or may not be connected with your quest, but with such an absence of her name and then two family names on one new life - well, it might just be worth following up on 1837online. Now, I'm suddenly curious about this entry.
There is a marriage for a Christiana Truan Beare in 1891 Kingston, Middlesex Surrey, Quarter: March , Volume: 2a , Page: 515 .

Thank-you. I may send for Christiana's birth certificate to see if she has Truan as a second name.If so I will then think about the marriage certificate.
