I haven't found a place for photos here. If there is one, please tell me. I can't be the only one who loves photos. My only rule? You have to be somehow related to at least one person in the pic. Oh yeah, and no recent pics. That should be a given. Privacy and all that. In the meantime... Why not just use here.
Anyhow..

Mmm... Those cakes look lovely!
Anyway, here's my photos. First one is of my great grandmother Vera Moon, it was taken about 1915. Second is my great great grandfather Henry John Moore and my great grandmother Annie Elizabeth Moore, it was taken about 1900. The third big family one is the entire Moon family in the summer of 1898, Vera (the one in the first photo) is the one on the right sitting on the bench!

Hi Mariana, Have you given any thought to removing those glare spots from one of your picx. See the photo restoration board under Common Room. Ted
Did you mean me, or Miriam? Yeah, I'm not sure! If you mean me, those two big spots on one of my photos are luckily just from my camera flash (I've not got a scanner!).
Anyway, I've got another pic. This one is George Thompson, my first cousin six times removed! Pretty distant... He was a well known slavery abolishionist in the early 19thC.
If you're lucky enough to have even any distant slightly distinguished ancestors, www.npg.org.uk is fantastic for finding portraits.

What wonderful photos!!! I love the old black and whites. Unfortunately, all mine are framed and on the wall - so I will have to start scanning them so I can post them here.
Thanks to Tariana for starting this thread - maybe we should have a Photos Board on Rootschat - Trystan are you reading this, and what do you think? ?
I'm off to start scanning now..........................

A war photo. The shorter one is my first cousin, twice removed. Blanton Smith. Even though I have it as Bowers, his father.

Sadly, all the photos of my maternal grandfather, Charles Henry Williamson, were, unfortunately, lost, but I do have these of his mother Harriet Williamson (nee' Buckley), and his brother James Arthur Williamson.
