Hi Suzy.

Annie Mackison nee Jay was born I think in 1848 in Alloa.  She married James Mackison (b.1853 in Killearn, latterly from Alloa) in 1877 in the Gorbals in Glasgow.  They had four children.

Helen Jane b.1880 in Lanark.  Married Tom Moffat in Lauder in 1902.
James b.1881 in Lanark.  Married Mary Moffat in 1904 in Cockpen.  James and Mary raised a family lived inPeebles. One daughter was called Ann Maria Jay Mackison, b.1912 in Peebles (presumably named after her grandmother).  I believe James' grandson (Graham Jay Mackison) still runs a family Painting & Decorating Business there.
John b.1887 in Galashiels.
Arthur George b.1889 in Ladhope.  One of his daughters was named Elizabeth Jay Mackison.

Censuswizard (alias June) posted an enquiry about Annie Jay's husband James Mackison which I also replied to if you are interested.  Unfortunately I don't know anything else about Annie Jay.

Hope this is of use.  Jim
