I also found this

RG10/2551 2 46 28

Emma WEBB H (*) 52 - Dressmaker and milliner - b St George
George WEBB son Un 23 - engine cleaner railway - b ditto
Clara WEBB dau 16 - cotton drawer - b ditto

/
George GREGORY H M 23 - B St George
Mary GREGORY W M 20 - b ditto
Martha E GREGORY dau 3 mo - b ditto

Address: 11 Aiken St , Barton Hill, St George

(*) this looks as though it originally said "Mar" but has been overwritten heavily with what looks like a "W".

I went back and checked William's marital status and it clearly states "Widower".

This is a possibility for Martha:

RG10/2552 6 12 18

Samuel ISLES H M 27 - Lab Chemical Wks - b St George
Martha ISLES W M 28 - cotton weaver - b ditto
Samuel ISLES son 7 - scholar - b ditto
Martha ISLES dau 5 - b ditto
Elizabeth ISLES dau 2 - b ditto

Address: Summerhill, Isles Cottages, St George

Note: the previous 2 schedules are also occupied by Isles families.  There are 4 "Isles Cottages" in total - 2 occupied by folk with a different surname.

I haven't checked any marriages to match this entry!

Looked for a marriage for Emma aged 22, but no joy.  There are census entried, but don't know which to choose!  Let me know if there is anything more you need.  e.g. later census

Hi stevenson.

the above entries from Kris, Arranroots amd myself are all for the same family.

William's age is out by 10 years after the 1851 census where his age is given as 53. By 1861 he is 10 years younger( 43) and by 1871 he is 54.

Alfred was born approx 1844 which matches the Alfred you are looking for.

Never been to one of them so will be practice for Ireland when I get there

Did go on a bit of a roll today and have traced Emma Gusets family up to 1901........Her sister Mary seems to have had a daughter and she lived with them ........and she was not married .................how to tell the ex...the shame....lol......But found the mother in lunatic place but then back at home later

so Iam on a roll ................... Shocked[move][/move]
