Mullaghbrack
« on: Thursday 18 March 10 17:58 GMT (UK) »
Are there any baptism records available for the period 1858-1863 I am trying to find details of Sarah Wallace born to David Wallace and possibly Sarah during this time.  David Wallace was a tailor?

Thanks

Lyn

I have seen the Parish records for that time in the Church of Ireland at Mullaghbrack, but, I'm afraid I don't know of anything online.

Markethill Presbyterian records are online but I don't see any for David Wallace.  Can you give us a few more details, as the Wallaces are my husbands ancestors.  Records are at:

The only information that I have is that Sarah was Sarah Margaret Wallace, her father was
David Wallace and was a tailor.  Sarah moved to England  and was in service until she married in 1886 in Gloucestershire.  I understand that her mother died when she was young.  I think Sarah had a cousin Ruth who married a John Robert Greer and they had a farm in Hamiltons Bawn

RosemaryJoan,  I have just loked at the records on the link which you gave and have, unexpectedly, discovered a possible forebear.  Do you know of any other Churches in the same area which have details od their records online?  Connie

Afraid not conalb.  These Presbyterian ones are a little treasure.

I think I have found Sarah aged 19 working as a cook in Gloucestershire in the 1881 census.  So she says she was born in 1862.

Lyn,
I do not know if it helps but John Robert Greer married Ruth McKew in Mullaghbrack Church of Ireland on 10 Aug 1871.

Thanks all for the information.  I think that Sarah's mother's maiden name was Little, are there any records for Little and Wallace?

Thanks
