Hi
I just tried to go into the chat area for the first time, everything came up on the computer alrigh,t but when I tried to talk I couldn't get the letters to come up. I could get a smiley in the talk box but no letters. Was I doing something wrong? I have a MacOS. I would have stayed longer to look round and try more things but I was embarrassed that the other people in there thought I was ignoring their questions. Any advise??

Just got this reply from trystan:
Chat room - if somebody hasn't got Flash properly installed, or if they have a very slow computer, then they won't be able to get into the chatroom, and will appear to yo-yo in and out of it. (like when I try to get in there!)

Thanks for the interest!! I wasn't going in and out of the room, I got in fine and could get a smiley into the chat bow at the bottom by whenever I tried to type in words it wouldn't work. Actually I was using a new MacG4, I also have an imac I can use if that will be better. In fact I might try that now. I'll get back to you. Fingers crossed.

Hi Wendy,
Glad to talk to another Mac user. Are you using reunion or some other genealogy package on the Mac? If you are using reunion, they now have a forum dedicated to that software.
