FREE WEBSPACE...

Hi....I completed the registration for free webspace, and received a screen notation that e-mail had been sent to me containing access and activation information.......That was almost a half hour ago, and I still have not received the e-mail.   Can you help me out?

Alex,

I would imagine that your email was not delivered for some reason - perhaps it was typed in slightly incorrectly (it's easy enough to do).

It's best if you just re-apply with the same chosen website name as before.

Problems with FTP access...

Hi - Experiencing difficulties adding info to webspace (beatonfamily)...Was able to add some files yesterday evening, but today I cannot....Also believe I've screwed things up a bit...forgot to first remove the Index.html file...I'd really appreciate whatever information or assistance you can provide.  Thanks for your time.

If people do not respond to the activation email within a certain time, then the web address automatically becomes available to somebody else, if somebody should choose it.

As the email got lost somewhere (yes - or in the spam box) then if you reapply, and find it, then you should be in luck.

Trystan,

I was able to upload some of the files last evening, and they are still there...try this link to see what I mean...  http://beatonfamily.rootschat.net/index.htm  .  Today when I try to access the site using my ftp software (ws_ftpro), I cannot, even if I create a new configuration using the info provided in the webspace set-up information letter I received from Rootschat.

Any suggestions?... Perhaps you could reset the space allocation for me, and I'll start over.  If you decide this is the best route to go, then I'd appreciate it if you could arrange the timing so that I can meet the 1 hour time limit...I live in Oakville Ontario Canada, and our time is 5 hours behind yours... any time after 8:00pm  your time would work great for me.

You should find that you can upload to your space alright now. The system had suspended your account for some strange reason. Sorry about that!

FTP problems...

Trystan,

Still experiencing problems uploading files to my free webspace (beatonfamily)...Was able to upload some files earlier this afternoon, and when I tried to add others after dinner, same problem as yesterday....locked out.

Please take a look to see what can be done to resolve the problem.   I'm not experiencing this problem with any other site that I FTP info from and to.
