Alison,
I have a Mary Holman b abt 1792 who married John Sellens (Selling)  on 14 Oct 1814 in East Hoathly.  John and Mary emigrated to New York State in 1830.  To date I haven't found out any more information on Mary.  Have you come across this Mary in your research?

Amour

These baptisms are from 1601 to 1845.

Gives a good indication when they moved to Lewes

1824   Nov   21   Holman   James   m      Thomas   Sarah   St Michaels   Butcher
1842   Oct   30   Holman   Charles Alfred   m   s   Alfred Wickens   Louisa Jane   Fisher St   Attorneys Clerk
1842   May   1   Holman   Frederick ohn   m   s   Frederick Steadman   Frances   Little East St   Cabinet Maker
1844   Jul   7   Holman   Fanny Catherine   f   d   Frederick Steadham   Frances   All Saints   Cabinet Maker

and these last two are Baptisms from 1903 to 1909

1908   Jun   9   Holman   Adele Mary Elsie   d   f   Harold Frederick   Minnie   The Wallands Julian Rd Folkstone   Gentleman
1955   Nov   27   Holman   John Andrew   s   m   George Reginald   Susannah   10 Pelham Terr   Remover

Hope they have been of help
