Great grandfather Richard Light was born in Longden upon Tern  . I wonder if anyone has access to the parish records for this village and could look up a birthbetween 1790 and 1800.

If you don't already have this Huh (thought i might mention anyway), there exists this record from High Ercall which is only 2 miles from Longdon Upon Tern

That is new to me. I dont know Shropshire very well and did not realise that High Ercall was so near to Longdon. I think there are other Lights in High Ercall so they may possibly be my family. I will have another look at Family Search though I would need to check the registers.
