SHANKS Kilwinning PLEASE HELP

I live in Northern Ireland and I am researching my family tree.  I have been told some my ancestors came from Kilwinning, Ayrshire.

Does anyone know of a Walter Shanks b.c. 1700's (late) possible early 1800's? Huh Huh

Any information however small would be greatly appreciated,
